New Horizon Preschool News
April has been another busy month for us at the preschool. We have been doing science experiments. We looked to see what is real and not real just like Thomas that doubted. Our favorite experiments were the ones that we got the messiest with. We even cleaned up the church yard for “EARTH DAY.”
We are looking forward to May with a few more field trips and graduation. Please join us on May 29th at 6:30 pm for our Spring Program and Graduation Ceremony. There will be refreshments and fellowship following the graduation in the fellowship hall.
We wish all the mothers a very Happy Mother’s Day.
We are now accepting applications for classes that will begin next fall. There are openings in both the three-year old and four-year old classes. If you would like more information, please stop by and visit or call the preschool at 879-7138.

Dear Members of Our Saviors:
The New Horizons Preschool Board of Directors would like to ask you to consider joining us.
The objective of the board member is: To provide support, direction, feedback and guidance which will enable growth for preschool. As a board member, you would be able to provide valuable input to help manage and direct our quality preschool.
The purpose of the board is to guide and assist the preschool and the staff. Our focus is on planning, policies, finances and fundraising for the preschool. We provide general assistance and support for the preschool program, plus it’s a great way to meet other preschool parents and congregational members who care about our preschool!
Please feel free to ask a staff member, or a current board member, for a copy of the board members roles and responsibilities. We usually meet once a month, for about an hour and a half to discuss the preschool happenings, and ask that all board members serve a minimum of two years
Please consider volunteering for a board position. Your opinions, comments and suggestions are very valued!
Sincerely,
The Preschool Board of Directors

Campbell's Soup Labels
Help New Horizon's Preschool earn free educational equipment by submitting proofs of purchase from the Campbell family of brands. The program is easier than ever as you just need to clip the UPC code itself and not the entire label. There is a collection bin in the entry way of the church. Thank you in advance for your help with this matter.

Our mission is to provide learning and growth opportunities in four main areas:
1. The Heart
We believe that God's love is the foundation for a lifetime of Christian growth. It is our goal to work with families to help develop this foundation.
2. The Mind
A key element to fostering each child's creative mind and thinking skills is FUN. Children will experience "fun" learning in a variety of areas, with a special emphasis on language and literacy enhancement.
3. The Body
Children have great energy--in mind and body. Our curriculum includes activities that encourage movement and play.
4. Character
Children will practice social skills and be encouraged to act in a repectful manner towards adults. We will also work to enrich each child's self esteem by concentrating on their unique talents and abilities.
"Jesus said, 'Let the children come to me, do not hender them; for to such belongs the kingdom of God.'" Mark 10:14
